Here we go!!!

The lists are going down and Bessie is nearly full! During the week we had the gaslow system fitted which allows us now to travel abroad using the lpg pumps at petrol stations instead of changing different gas cylinders in every country at £30 a time and then not being able to get rid of the cylinders. So glad we found out about this idea before we leave! We intend using the bbq most of the time so it should be money well spent.
Bessie has been very popular with lots of guests coming for a tour round her to see where we will be living for the next 9 months! We have been given some lovely gifts to take with us and yes I've had cushions!

I have packed 3 duvet sets 2 beach towels 4 bath towels and 6 hand towels 3 pks of toilet rolls and a large plastic box of toiletries mostly bought when offers were on so probably half the box Ive got free! It pays to stock up early!
The freezer is on with 2 boxes of fish fingers, potato wedges, hash browns, peas and sweetcorn.
We love a fish finger sandwich!
9 months of clothes are packed with something for every possible forecast and still room in the wardrobe! Ps. Neil has more flip flops than me and I'm sure he has hidden more! Whenever we go on holiday his case always weighs more than mine and I don't pack lightly so i think i will be finding things of his along the way!
The bikes are on and our sticker has pride of place, thank you Liv!

Saturday 8th August:  6am
Woke up early and messaged my son George in Oz to wish him Happy 22nd Birthday!
Made a cuppa and sat down and looked at the kitchen table, its nearly clear! The lists have gone and i've got butterflies. Its a funny feeling knowing we are leaving tomorrow and not coming back for a long time but I'm also excited that 9 months of planning can finally be put into action!  We are planning an overnight stopover enroute to Devon tomorrow at a site called minnowstouringpark.co.uk so hopefully a chilled evening and a fish finger sandwich for tea and tuck into our starter hamper another gift from our wonderful friends! you've thought of everything!

On Monday we will meet Neils son, his partner Charlotte and Grandson Bailey along with Charlottes family who are all on holiday near Ilfracoombe and say some more goodbyes and of course Bessie gets to show off one more time!

The Big Day!
Sunday 9th August:

I thought this day would never come but here we are! Got up at the crack of dawn again lists going through my head still, what have i forgotten? but hey its too bad now! I can't believe we are actually going! Thank you so much to Paula and Dave for our T.shirts! they have to be worn today!
A big thank you to my Mum, Stuart, my Dad, Valerie and our tenant Lizzie for offering look after our home. My friend Susan bought Neil a cuddly Billy to take with us but Billy likes it too much so think its staying here.
